Matt is a partner in the firm’s Dallas office. His practice focuses on natural resources law with an emphasis on title examination in Texas and Ohio. He primarily represents oil and gas companies in their exploration and production operations.

Matt and his wife, Annie, have one son and one daughter.

REPRESENTATIVE experience

Prepared drilling, division order and acquisition title opinions covering lands located in the Barnett Shale (North Texas), the Haynesville Shale (East Texas), the Permian Basin (West Texas and Southeast New Mexico), the Eagle Ford (South Texas), and the Utica Shale (East Ohio). Performed “standup” title examinations. Performed due diligence for acquisitions. Drafted curative oil and gas title documents.
